Peter Sampson attended IAIA in 1965. His paintings from that time focus on linear and geometric shapes. Sampson painted Untiled in impasto technique, applying thick layers of paint to create a rich texture. While Untiled is rendered in warm earth tones, other works are painted in vibrant reds, blues, and blacks and are often inspired by tribal designs.
