John Cruz Romero is an IAIA alumnus, Vietnam veteran and sculptor working in wood, stone and ceramics. Romero also served as educator at the Santa Fe Indian School and Taos Municipal Schools. His mixed media sculpture Construction reflects his interest in the physical qualities of different materials while exploring abstract, positive and negative forms. His work was included in the traveling exhibition Young American Indian Artists organized by the Riverside Museum in New York, NY in 1965.
